Connectors for integration

Master data often lives in ERP, another PIM, Excel and GS1 at the same time. Connectors in fmcgProducts bring the sources together, so you do not retype the same data - and GS1, the website and labels work from the same validated data.

How it fits together

   Connect source systems

   Existing product data comes from SAP, Business Central, Inriver and other PIM systems, Excel, XML and FTP. You do not retype everything to get started.

2. 02

   Map and validate

   Internal fields are mapped to fmcgProducts master data. GS1 and market rules are checked before anything is sent.

3. 03

   Send onwards

   When the hierarchy is ready, data is sent to GS1, Validoo, EPD and other pools - and on to website, webshop and labels.

ERP and PIM

• SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and SAP PLMInternal SAP XML is mapped to fmcgProducts master data. SAP can send MATMAS with material master on a schedule, for example.
• Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business CentralA Dynamics connector, so ERP master data can be enriched in fmcgProducts and sent onwards without double entry.
• InriverAn Inriver PIM connector, and integration through the JSON API. Customers like Partner in Pet Food Nordics use fmcgProductsIntegrator between Inriver and Validoo at GS1 Sweden.
• Akeneo, Struct and PimcoreOther PIM systems can, like Inriver, integrate through the JSON API - fetch and update master data and check status.

Files and FTP

• Excel and CSVExcel and CSV import and export, including by mail and as a scheduled extract.

JSON API and webhooks

When other systems need to fetch, update and check status as JSON, that is the API. PIM systems such as Inriver, Akeneo, Struct and Pimcore can integrate that way. Connectors cover the cases where files or a ready-made system connection is the natural path.

How it is used

SAP customers map material master as XML. Others connect Inriver to Validoo with fmcgProductsIntegrator, so the data is not typed twice.
