fmcgProducts API
Websites, webshops and internal systems work with the same validated master data that you send to GS1 and EPD.
fmcgProducts is the source of your product master data. The API lets other systems fetch, update and check the status of that data as JSON - so you do not retype it in ERP, the webshop and GS1.
How it fits together

Update master data
From ERP, Excel or XML. The JSON API can update data too - full or delta - and check product status.

Validate once
GDSN and market rules in fmcgProducts. Errors come back in the interface or through the API.

Fetch and display
JSON, images, PDF product sheets and webhooks for website, webshop and intranet.
What you can fetch
- A product unit or a product overview as JSON
- Product status, for example accepted, in progress or rejected
- Product images, including on-the-fly scaling via the media server
- Product sheets as PDF or on the web, in your own design
- Excel extracts through the same URL syntax
Update and check status
- Update product data as a full update or as a delta (changed fields only)
- Check product status after an update, for example accepted, in progress or rejected
- Validation errors back through the web API, so you fix data before it is sent to GS1
- XML files from external systems when JSON is not the path
Keep other systems updated
- Webhooks on product events, so the website and other systems update when something changes
- Connectors including SAP, Business Central, Inriver, NiceLabel, FTP, CSV and Excel
How it is used
Customers like Pågen use the API for an intranet product handbook, website and commerce, so copy, images and PDF sheets come from the same source as GS1.
